Free vibrations of linear viscoelastic polymer cantilever beams

چکیده

The free vibrations of cantilever slender beams polymers, which are viscoelastic materials, theoretically described using the simple Euler–Bernoulli assumption. comparison between theory and experimental data collected for a thermoplastic elastomer, polyether block amide, shows very satisfactory results. Consequently, is used thoughtful analysis impact material parameters beam geometry on its vibration. Finally, dynamic behaviors two vibration test uniaxial tension/relaxation test, discussed.

A Study on Non-linear Free Vibration of Cantilever Beams

Non-linear flexural vibration of beams with various boundary conditions such as hinged–hinged, clamped–clamped and clamped–hinged has been extensively studied using analytical approaches and numerical methods like FEM. A detailed review has been brought out by Rosenberg [1] and Satyamoorthy [2]. However, the investigation pertaining to the cantilever case, which is also of practical interest, i...

An experimental investigation of nonlinear vibration and frequency response analysis of cantilever viscoelastic beams

The nonlinear vibration analysis of a directly excited cantilever beam modeled as an inextensible viscoelastic Euler–Bernoulli beam has been studied by the authors and is reported in the literature. The viscoelastic damping was modeled as Kelvin–Voigt damping, and the nonlinearities arisen from the inextensibility assumption. This paper extends our theoretical developments presented in the prev...

Axial and Torsional Free Vibrations of Elastic Nano-Beams by Stress-Driven Two-Phase Elasticity

Size-dependent longitudinal and torsional vibrations of nano-beams are examined by two-phase mixture integral elasticity. A new and efficient elastodynamic model is conceived by convexly combining the local phase with strain- and stress-driven purely nonlocal phases. The proposed stress-driven nonlocal integral mixture leads to well-posed structural problems for any value of the scale parameter...

Free Vibrations of Continuous Grading Fiber Orientation Beams on Variable Elastic Foundations

Free vibration characteristics of continuous grading fiber orientation (CGFO) beams resting on variable Winkler and two-parameter elastic foundations have been studied. The beam is under different boundary conditions and assumed to have arbitrary variations of fiber orientation in the thickness direction. The governing differential equations for beam vibration are being solved using Generalized...

Theoretical, numerical, and experimental analyses of free vibrations of glass fiber reinforced polymer plates with central cutouts and free boundaries

This study explored the free vibration problem in relation to glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) plates with central cutouts and free boundaries using theoretical, experimental, and numerical methods. The theoretical formulations were derived from the classical lamination plate theory. The rectangular cutout was mathematically modeled into the stiffness matrix of the plate by multiplying Hea...
